The membership of the Safari Operators Association of Zimbabwe (SOAZ) and its sister organizations (see box) includes most reputable hunting, photosafari and other specialized tourism service providers operating in Zimbabwe.
All SOAZ members must be registered and licenced in accordance with current Zimbabwean legislation, and must employ only registered and licenced professional guides, hunters and couriers.
Intending visitors should therefore ensure that they deal with operators who are current members of these organizations.
To check this, go to the membership lists on this website and ensure that your selected operators are represented.
SOAZ also strongly urges visitors to report instances of unsatisfactory service or unethical conduct. Your complaint will be investigated and, if found to be justified, the offending organization or individual will be subjected to sanctions up to and including expulsion from SOAZ. They may also be liable for prosecution if in breach of registration and licencing law or Parks Authority regulations.
Zimbabwe offers an amazing range of experiences to visitors. These include photographic and hunting safaris in some of Africa’s finest wildlife areas; cultural and adventure tourism; specialized fishing, golfing and birding safaris; and many others.
SOAZ sets the gold standard for your visit. Don’t let it be spoilt by using unlicensed or illegal operators. Check with SOAZ!
