Zimbabwe is a landlocked country in Southern Africa comprising 39 075 700 hectares (1 hec. = 2.471 acres). It is bordered by South Africa to the South Mozambique to the East, Zambia to the North and Botswana and Namibia to the West. Altitude ranges from around 500 metres in the northern Zambezi Valley up to 1 500 metres in the Highveld, and slopes down again to around 300 metres in the South East Lowveld.
